I stay out of the way, you stop noticing me, and the photographs come from that rather than from posing.
Families
Kids are kids, not performers. Nobody has to sit still and nobody has to smile on command — the moment I start managing your children is the moment the photo dies. Parents often tell me they felt relieved as soon as they arrived. That's deliberate.
Couples
Before a wedding, years after one, or for no particular reason. An hour is long enough that you stop feeling watched, which is when you start looking like yourselves.
Engagements
The bit between the question and the day. You'll use these more than you expect — save the dates, the website, the slideshow nobody thinks about until the week before.
Business portraits
A photo of you that looks like you on a good day. For the website, the profile, the tender document, the speaker bio — and one you won't wince at in two years.
Why an hour
Twenty minutes and everybody's still performing. Two hours and the kids are finished, or you are.
An hour is long enough for people to forget I'm there, and short enough that nobody starts watching the clock. It's the number that works, which is why it's the only one I offer.

One hour, ten edited images
Anywhere around Bendigo. Ten finished digital images, yours to keep and to print however you like.
Extra images are $20 each, or the complete gallery — every frame from your session — is a further $200.
All prices include GST. A 30% deposit holds your spot and the balance is due before the session.
You choose your own photographs
A week or so afterwards your gallery goes live online. You look through everything from the session, pick your ten, and download them whenever suits — at the kitchen table, on the couch, with whoever you want in the room.
If you want more than ten, they're right there to add. No appointment, no sales meeting, no sitting through a slideshow while someone watches your face.
I'd rather you chose your favourites properly than picked them under pressure in front of me.
